OLX — Buy & Sell Marketplace App
Bringing OLX's analytics-led design approach to its South Asia marketplace app, where millions of buyers and sellers connect every day.
Overview
OLX's Android app is where the bulk of the marketplace's activity happens — posting ads, browsing listings, and messaging buyers and sellers. As part of the design team, I helped extend our website design principles into a fast, mobile-first experience.
The challenge
Mobile users post and browse under different constraints than desktop — smaller screens, on-the-go usage, and camera-first ad posting. The app needed to make listing and finding items effortless without sacrificing the depth of OLX's catalogue.

-
03 · Prototype
Testing with Maze
Prototyped and tested key flows with users before handoff to engineering.
-
04 · Measure
Post-launch tracking
Monitored engagement and conversion metrics after each release to guide the next iteration.

Outcome
A mobile experience that carried OLX's analytics-led design approach onto Android, built around how people actually buy and sell on the go.
